The Role
As a Lending Services Officer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional internal and external service, assisting with all loan processing related tasks from loan input and verification, through to Mortgage preparation, funding and after care. We are transforming how we do things within the Team by leveraging our digital platforms and our energised team is seeking another Team Member to strengthen our numbers.

This is a full-time position primarily based at our Head Office in East Maitland. The core hours and days are Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm with flexibility able to be negotiated.
This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build upon their career in the Banking and Finance industry.
You will be provided with both initial and ongoing training to ensure that you are well equipped to deal with the new challenges presented by this role.

The Role
As a key member of the Executive team, reporting to the CEO and the Board Risk Committee, the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) is accountable for the leadership, management and performance of the Risk and Compliance functions for The Mutual Bank. The role will play a pivotal role in shaping our risk management strategy and driving a positive organisational risk culture through collaboration to instil risk awareness across the business.
You will work constructively with the Executive Team and the Board to ensure that strategic and operational risks are effectively identified, assessed, mitigated and monitored and that risk management activities are performed in line with prudential requirements and industry best practice. Your insights will drive informed decision-making ensuring that strategic and business activities are conducted in line with the Board’s approved risk appetite.
The CRO will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Risk Management Framework and Strategy whilst embedding the Three Lines of Defence.

The Role
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role will be responsible for leading the credit and lending operations function, from the assessment and approval of commercial and consumer loans through to the funding and settlement of the loans. Driving lending policy compliance as well as effectively managing the loans processing function with a focus on, service delivery, accuracy and customer service is a key component of the role.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals, optimising processes, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity, drive revenue and growth, whilst enhancing customer experience.

Experience in employee relations is essential along with the ability to interpret and provide advice on employment legislation and industrial relations. Experience in Work, Health Safety is desirable but not essential.
